After a welcome reception in the Moraine Lounge, your host will escort you to the evening’s first activity. You’ll be treated to a guided tour of the Columbia Icefield Skywalk, a cliff-edged glass-floored walkway rising 280 metres (918 feet) above the Sunwapta Valley. Look out for mountain goats traversing steep cliffs foraging for food. Spend the evening relaxing, star gazing and indulging. In the morning you’ll explore the ancient Athabasca Glacier on a giant Ice Explorer, discovering glaciology and stepping right on to the glacier itself!
After dinner, you can step out onto the Viewing Deck, marvel at the night sky, relax with a book from our library, or hang out inside the Moraine Lounge.

There’s full table service during dinner and a gourmet breakfast to enjoy at Altitude Restaurant. Take your time, fuel up, find solitude and admire the views. It’s time to say farewell following breakfast, so you continue your adventure down the Icefields Parkway. We hope you enjoyed your time at Glacier View Lodge.
