Yes. A hot lunch buffet will be provided for all guests on the tour at the Columbia Icefield Glacier Discovery Centre with options for vegetarian, vegan and gluten free meals.
Make sure you wear layers, sunscreen, and comfortable shoes with grip on the bottom (i.e. sneakers, hiking boots). Sunglasses may come in handy as well as an empty water bottle that you can fill with glacier water if you wish. Also, don't forget your camera!
You will visit several beautiful locations in Banff National Park, including Lake Louise, the Icefields Parkway, Crowfoot Glacier, Peyto Lake, Bow Lake, Columbia Icefield Adventure and the Columbia Icefield Skywalk.
The tour will stop for around 40 minutes to allow visitors to explore Peyto Lake. During the early season the parking lot at Peyto Lake might not be accessible to our buses. As for Bow Lake, the duration of the stop will be determined by the driver's discretion.
Considering time constraints, the duration of the stop at Crowfoot Glacier will be determined by the driver's discretion. If there is enough time available, the driver will make a stop at this viewpoint.
Guests will usually spend approximately 15 to 20 minutes at Lake Louise.
Yes. If you choose the Columbia Icefield Discovery and start from Banff you are able to end your trip in Lake Louise. Be sure to tell your driver. The price will remain the same as a return trip to Banff.
We recommend allotting 3 hours for the full tour experience including the Columbia Icefield Skywalk.
Yes! Halfway through the tour, you will be able to step out onto the ancient ice of the Athabasca Glacier. We ask that visitors stay within the clearly marked area as this is regularly maintained and has been deemed safe.

Be prepared for anything! The Columbia Icefield is a unique ecosystem and weather can easily change from sunshine to snow. Dress in warm layers and make sure to wear closed-toe shoes with sturdy soles. Hiking boots and running shoes would be best. You can expect the temperature to be about 15 degrees Celsius cooler on the ice than at the Columbia Icefield Glacier Discovery Centre.

Wildlife sightings are very common in the National Park, but we cannot guarantee animal sightings. There are a lot of bears, moose, elk, big horn sheep, mountain goats, deer and more that share the parks with us and because they are in their natural habitat, their sightings are unpredictable.
Baggage liability is limited to $500 for loss or damage per passenger. We do not recommend leaving any high value items in luggage stored beneath the coaches in the luggage bins.
No. Parks Canada requires all adult visitors to Canada’s national parks to buy a permit for the duration of their stay to support visitor services and facilities. Day Passes or a yearly Discovery Pass are available to buy in-person at Parks Canada's park gates and information centres in Banff and Jasper. Admission for youth 17 and under is free.
While Brewster Sightseeing tours include scenic moments where you will disembark to take in the views or capture photos, it does not require any physical activity beyond a stroll. Due to the high altitude of both Banff and Jasper, some guests may find physical activities are slightly more strenuous than usual.
