Welcome to Nightrise at the Banff Gondola.

Keep this page referenced in your mobile device to help guide you through the four wonders. Some wonders will require you to move around and engage with them, and some will be slower paced and best experienced if you sit back, relax and enjoy them for a while. Let's begin!

Nightrise honours the magic of the mountains atop Sulphur Mountain (Mînî Rhuwîn) — a place of gathering since time immemorial — through the Four Wonders.

Interact with Cosmic Ray projections on the lower terrace. Bask in shimmering light at the second floor’s Diamond Dust station. Explore Alpenglow — a digital art tribute to the mountains on the fourth floor. Then continue to the top floor patio and listen to the view with Frosted Waves.

Nightrise happens on the property Parks Canada grants to the Banff Gondola. We respect these boundaries and the protected environment where we operate. This includes the boundary on the boardwalk to Sanson’s Peak, where the Nightrise experience ends. The boardwalk remains open for guests to explore, please beware winter conditions are in effect.
